Die Faustregel vom @Erzgebirgspower geht in die richtige Richtung. Ich habe es so gelernt, dass man das Gehäuse 90° drehen soll, damit eine allenfalls vorhandene federnd bewegliche Kugel am Ende der Schwimmernadel nicht eingedrückt wird.

Die Faustregel erklärt sich so, dass die Stellung der Nadel im rechten Winkel zur Kontaktfläche der Schwimmers die so am genauesten wirkende Kraft ausübt. Effektiv ist es ja so, dass die Schwimmernadel permanent zwischen Öffnen und Schliessen oszilliert. Das ist der Grund, warum sie mit der Zeit an der Spitze einschlägt. Ist die Auflagefläche schief, so gibt das eine seitliche Kraft auf die Nadel, welche der ursprünglichen Richtung zuwider läuft. Die Nadel verschleisst so unnatürlich und die Gefahr, dass sie sich irgendwann verklemmt ist gegeben. Aus diesem Grund sind Schwimmer und Auflagezunge parallel angeordnet und sollten jeweils mit Vorsicht gebogen werden.

6-8mm
For the
screw on cap PWK
carb like the '00 CR250 and aftermarket PWK, you will find the the spec in the service manual is
16mm
.
You can't obtain a 16mm float level on a short body PWK if you tried.
