Ben
Hmmmmmm Damn, I guess you really don't realize how cluttered the garage is until you take a few pics... I blame my wife:lol: A few pics of the bikes on the dyno this past sat. the 2015 is pretty strong bike. We took the time to base line it with a sumo setup this time, the rear is a 170 dunlop, so it'll suck away some power compared the the 165's we usually. Another cool feature on the 2015 is the on the fly map selector switch, mode 1 is full power, mode 2 (the weakest of the 3)pulls timing and fuel, mode 3 has same fuel as mode 1 but pulls timing up top. For anyone who has plans to put a dual piped crf450r on the dyno, put your air/fuel sniffer in the right side (a more direct path to the mid pipe). Reason I say that is that we had some very off the wall AF ratios in the upper rpms, at first we thought we lost a fuel pump after adding tons of fuel with no changes from 5k up. The cause is that the left side muffler has a venture affect 5k and higher in the rpm range and causes the sniffer to read lean. Just a heads up, back to the pics. Nels from 2wheel dyno works hard at work, and is the man when it comes to anything that needs a fine tune!!!

Ben
Guckst du: I'll have dyno charts posted sometime this week, the 2015 crf450r did really well for bone stock putting down 50.8ish whp. And just for comparison we also dyno'd a new 4 valve 2014 yz450f with the same wheel setup, it put down 52 whp on the same dyno, the yami did have more over rev and stayed pretty flat past peak hp to redline, where as the shock honda signs off pretty quick and then drops off rapidly. So don't believe all the of the hype about the yami's making 7-8+ whp over the hondas... The 13's new build made almost identical numbers compared the the previous build with a flatter/steeper curve and completely flat after peak hp, we come to the conclusion that the stock bore throttle body is choking it up in the upper revs, TB is going out soon for an:thumbup: overbore and new guts. Graphs coming soon...
Guest Connader
Guckst du: Tres interesantè!! Merci!! Wie gesagt: very,VERY interesting!!!
